NewRatings.com reports that foreclosures in the first half of 2007 are up 55 percent over the same period in the previous year.
RealtyTrac, an online foreclosure properties marketplace, said over 900,000 foreclosures were filed in the first half of 2007. Less than 600,000 foreclosures were filed in last half of 2006.
Foreclosures increased by 30 percent from the last half of 2006. The CEO of RealtyTrac is predicting that by the end of the year, foreclosures could be up 65 percent over 2006.
