Soap opera star Hunter Tylo has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in a Las Vegas bankruptcy court, according to the website Vegas.com.
Tylo, who is known for her role as Dr. Taylor Hayes on the CBS daytime series "The Bold and the Beautiful," didn't include detailed financial information in her bankruptcy filing. Although her salary is not listed, she claimed assets worth $1 million and debts totaling $10 million.
Tylo owes money to a variety of creditors, reported the news source, including several lawyers, the home equity lender Chase, multiple medical providers and Innovative Artists Talent and Literary Agency.
The bankruptcy filing comes on the heels of another suit involving Tylo. In 2009, the actress sued a therapy center and social worker, alleging they were responsible for her son's drowning death in 2007.
Tylo has been a regular face on multiple daytime soap operas. Her television debut came in 1985 on the series "All My Children" before she was a regular on "Days of Our Lives" from 1989 to 1990. Tylo has been playing Dr. Taylor Hayes on "The Bold and the Beautiful" since 1990.
